ROCKLAND — The Maine Center for Contemporary Art (CMCA), 21 Winter St., announces that the next iteration of its popular biennial will take place from January 28 to May 7, 2023.
As always, the 2023 CMCA Biennale will be dedicated to the work of artists from Maine and Maine and will be visible in all CMCA galleries. Highly anticipated, the exhibition-survey presents works by artists in all mediums at different times in their careers and will be the 23rd edition of the biennial in the history of the CMCA.
As the 2020-2021 CMCA Biennale has been extended by eight months in response to the pandemic, the next CMCA Biennale will open three months later than previous years.
Jurors and Application Deadline
The CMCA will announce jurors and an application deadline in Spring/Summer 2022. Please stay tuned to the CMCA Biennale 2023 webpage for current and upcoming details.
The 2021-2023 CMCA exhibitions are made possible in part by a two-year grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
