Daniel J. Gruner received the community service award at the New York Professional Insurance Agents Board meeting in February.

Gruner has served on numerous local councils, including the Kingston Boys and Girls Club; the Dutchess County ARC and the Benedictine Health Foundation. In partnership with the Gruner family, the Benedictine Health Foundation established the Rosemary D. Gruner Memorial Cancer Fund in 2004 to assist in the treatment, care, and support of cancer patients in need. Alyson Pou has been named executive director of the nonprofit Arts Mid-Hudson.

Pou, an artist, arts professional and advocate, is knowledgeable in grantmaking, program development, strategic planning, fundraising and public relations.

Pou succeeds Linda Marston-Reid, who held the position for a decade, to lead the expansion of the nonprofit’s service area to include Dutchess, Ulster and Ulster counties. Orange.

At Creative Capital, a national nonprofit organization based in New York that funds breakthrough artists, Pou played a key role in the development of the awards program, overseeing awards of more than $12 million to 242 art projects. artists and launching the artist services program.

Pou joins Arts Mid-Hudson from Greene County, where she served as director of the Petronio Residency Center, a national residency program for movement-based artists. She maintains an active artistic practice and has exhibited and lectured at numerous museums, galleries, art centers and colleges across the country. Annette Cantilli (Provided)

Bright Futures Management Group, parent company of cleaning company LCS Facility Group, has appointed Annette Cantilli as the company’s chief financial officer.

Cantilli will lead finance and accounting for Bright Futures and LCS, while helping oversee the company’s overall growth strategy.

The Vassar College Dance Program has appointed Desmond Richardson as a teacher and choreographer for the Spring 22 semester of the program.

Richardson, the first African-American principal dancer at American Ballet Theater and co-founder and co-artistic director of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, will teach three classes, including Nique, a new class in which students will learn the style of contemporary dance that he developed, based on ballet technique that integrates modern and contemporary movement.

Jack Higbee (Provided)

Jack Higbee, senior vice president, family wealth advisor, director of portfolio management and director of insurance planning at Morgan Stanley’s Kingston office of wealth management, has been named to the company’s Century Club, a group made up of the company’s best financial advisors.

The nomination recognizes Higbee for “consistent creativity and excellence in providing a wide range of investment products and wealth management services to its clients,” according to a statement.

Higbee, who has worked at Morgan Stanley since 2009, is originally from West Hurley. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Collège de la Sainte-Croix. He lives in Hudson with his family.
