The Certified Farmer’s Market at Angels Camp is Friday 5:15 to 8:00 p.m. and the Peaceful Valley Farmer’s Market
is also Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday morning is the Certified Sonoran Farmer’s Market and is the second Saturday Art Night in downtown Sonora. Starting at 5 p.m., galleries, restaurants, and shops feature art, live music, artists, and art demonstrations. Look for the banners from top to bottom of Washington Street.
Saturday at 10 a.m. is the Chester & Push Horse Rescue Boots & Belles fundraiser for the non-profit organization. They will open their facility for tours, horseback riding and there will be a barbecue, raffle and photo ops. More details in the calendar of events here.
Saturday is also the The 40th anniversary of the annual California Alps tour wraps up Highway 4 (Ebbetts Pass) from Markleeville to Alpine Lake from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Hwy 89 (Monitor Pass) from Markleeville to Hwy 395 from 5 a.m. to noon.
Keep in mind that the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is testing and identified a toxic algal bloom in the Merced River near Hites Cove in Mariposa by El Portal and be careful if you see areas of algae thick as detailed here.
